2. Informational Commands

/qed info Command Details

Description: Show smartQED connection info

Input: /qed info

Output: The response message displays the smartQED application that you have connected this channel to, and the problem that you have selected to work on, with its number, title and commander name(s). A link to the (Fishbone-based) investigation map is also displayed.

/qed causes Command Details

Description: Show the causes for this problem and the visual maps (QED Fishbone and Cause Tree)

Input: /qed causes

Output: The response message displays the causes for the problem that you are working on. It also shows the image files for the main QED Fishbone and the QED Cause Tree.

/qed details Command Details

Description: Show the details of a specific cause for this problem

Input: /qed details

Output: You will get a selector with a drop-down to select a cause. The response message displays the details of your selected cause for the problem that you are working on.

The response is only visible to you.

/qed actions Command Details

Description: Shows the list of all the actions for the problem you are working on

Input: /qed actions

Output: The response message displays the details of all the actions taken for any of the causes in the problem you are working on.

Example:

/qed insights Command Details

Description: Show matching problems for the current problem you are working on, based on smartQED’s proprietary symptom-matching algorithm. Also show the likely causes and recommended actions for this problem, as computed based on your prior solved problems in smartQED.

Input: /qed insights

Output: The response message displays the matching problems and most likely causes for this problem, along with the recommended actions (if any).

This response is only visible to you.

Example:

/qed report Command Details

Description: Generate the PDF summary report for the problem you are working on.

Input: /qed report

Output: The output is a file in PDF format that you can download.

Example:

/qed timeline Command Details

Description: Display the elapsed time and action timeline for the problem you are working on.

Input: /qed timeline

Output: The output shows the elapsed time for this problem, and also the image of the action timeline in PNG format.

Example:

/qed history Command Details

Description: Displays the update history for the problem you are working on.

Input: /qed history

Output: The output shows the list of updates done by the collaborators for this problem.
